My primary focus is to help my clients improve their confidence, relationships, and communication skills. My speciality is helping clients gain self-awareness and healthy coping mechanisms. I help clients improve their communication skills through gaining insight to their triggers, thoughts, and emotions. Utilizing skills from SFBT and CBT, I work with my clients to set clear and tangible goals while improving their patterns of thinking.

I use a holistic and mindfulness approach with my clients. I want my clients to gain improvement in all areas – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. By helping my clients improve their mindfulness, my clients can develop a sense of self-compassion, peace, and acceptance.

I have a deep understanding of marriage and family dynamics. My husband and I met at our local church in the summer of 2014 and have been married since February 2018.

I understand that while relationships bring great joy and connection, they can often be challenging. I work to help my clients gain effective communication, successful problem solving, and enhanced active listening skills. When working with couples, I have experience in helping my clients through trials of infidelity, separation, codependency, and adjustment to life’s stressors.

Premarital counseling has been proven to be a successful resource to help tackle marital issues before they happen. As a trained SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) Facilitator for Premarital counseling, I help facilitate conversations on a variety of challenging relational issues. When working with couples, I help them to navigate through their differences and to strengthen their relationship.

Additionally, I come from a first responder family and I understand the many stressors first responders and their families face. I have experience with clients from a variety of first responder backgrounds. I utilize my personal and professional experience to help my first responder families navigate their unique challenges.

In addition to my therapeutic work, I bring a wealth of personal and professional experience to my practice. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2017, graduating summa cum laude, and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy in August 2022, also graduating summa cum laude.

My professional journey began with a focus on child development and education. I previously served as a school counselor for elementary-aged students and their families, gaining valuable insight into childhood and family dynamics. I also have almost a decade of experience in childcare, providing a nurturing and safe environment for children and families of diverse backgrounds and ages.

I understand taking this step in your life may be challenging. I know that difficult events may have brought you here. I am here to create a safe space where you can release the emotions you’ve been tucking away. Therapy is meant to have a lasting effect on how you approach this world. I aim to help you find healing, confidence, and healthy coping skills you can continue to build upon for a lifetime. My hope for you is to leave each session feeling validated, heard, and one step closer on your journey to healing.
