Are you feeling frustrated and tired of your attempts to communicate with your partner? Does it seem challenging to connect with your spouse, despite your efforts? Does giving up feel like an option for you?

In my approach working with couples, I consider your relationship as my client. With my Gottman Level 3 training, I employ unique and effective interventions based on the foundation of the Sound Relationship House Theory. A comprehensive assessment is utilized to tailor effective interventions to enhance the dynamics between partners. We will work together to improve communication styles, enhance emotional and physical connection, strengthen commitment and trust, identify shared values and goals, and manage perpetual conflicts more effectively.

Are you planning on getting married? Do you want to make sure to start your marriage on the right foot? Does premarital counseling work? Absolutely! Research studies have shown that couples who succeed, gain access to the knowledge they require to prevent destructive patterns that often lead to divorce. We utilize an amazing and thorough assessment called SYMBIS which is an acronym for Save Your Marriage Before It Starts. “In fact, couples are 31% less likely to get divorced if they get some sort of pre-marriage training before they marry”. Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. This assessment becomes a valuable tool to facilitate conversations concerning various aspects of your current relationship and be ready for your life journey together as partners. We cover more than two dozen issues including but not limited to marriage mindset, maturity, independence, longevity, stability, psychological caution flags, stress, cohabitation, unrealistic expectations, baggage, social support, extended family members relationships, spiritual beliefs, communication, finances, conflict management, sexual intimacy, personality traits and dynamics, and many more. Some of these issues will deserve more time and attention than others and the structure of the assessment will help us naturally to go through them systematically and at a natural pace.

My goal is to assist couples to recognize the areas that need improvement in their relationship and work together collaboratively to improve emotional and physical connection, gain understanding of different perspectives, and communicate effectively to decrease escalated arguments. I maintain a neutral stance by treating each partner equally and avoid taking sides. I work with each couple towards recognizing strengths and navigating their differences.

As a Licensed Marriage Family therapist and a graduate of Argosy University with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, I bring nearly a decade of experience assessing clients in marital and premarital relationships. In addition to my professional work, I volunteer in various churches providing marriage workshops to strengthen couples’ relationships.
